Sri Lanka continues to experience steady growth in tourism, with 119,670 international visitors arriving in the first 23 days of October, according to data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
India remains the top source market, with 35,090 Indian nationals visiting the island so far this month. The United Kingdom (9,759), China (8,821), Germany (6,944), and Russia (6,635) also rank among the leading contributors to arrivals.
Cumulatively, Sri Lanka has welcomed 1,845,164 tourists in 2025 to date. Of these, 410,382 are from India, followed by 171,652 from the UK and 128,779 from Russia, reflecting the country’s strong appeal across diverse global markets.
