Sri Lanka Tourism Crosses 1.9 Million Visitors in 2025

Sri Lanka has welcomed more than 1.9 million foreign tourists so far in 2025, according to the latest data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).

In the first five days of November alone, the country recorded 32,815 tourist arrivals, bringing the total number of visitors for the year to 1,923,502. The highest daily arrivals during this period were reported on November 1, with 7,412 tourists entering the country.

India remains Sri Lanka’s largest source market, contributing 431,235 visitors so far this year. The United Kingdom follows with 177,167 arrivals, while Russia (138,061), Germany (119,415), and China (113,619) round out the top five markets.
