Sri Lanka to Provide Additional Mahapola Scholarship Payment for Students Affected by Severe Weather

Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Higher Education has announced that an extra monthly Mahapola Scholarship allowance will be issued on December 5, 2025, to support university students impacted by the recent severe weather disaster.

This payment comes on top of the regular allowance that was distributed on November 28, according to the Ministry.
