Sri Lanka’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, met with senior executives of Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group, a major healthcare provider in the Middle East.
In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), the Minister noted that he toured one of the group’s advanced medical facilities, which integrates cutting-edge technology and AI-based healthcare systems.
He also acknowledged the contribution of Sri Lankan professionals to the group’s technological innovations.
“It was gratifying to see the significant role played by Sri Lankans in developing the technology used by the Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Group through their development center in Colombo,” Herath said.
The meeting included discussions on potential investments in Sri Lanka’s healthcare sector, with particular interest in expanding collaboration in medical tourism.
