Sri Lanka Dominates SAAF Senior Athletics Championships 2025 with Multiple Golds and Record-Breaking Performances

Sri Lanka delivered a stunning performance at the 2025 South Asian (SAAF) Senior Athletics Championships in India, capturing multiple gold medals and setting new tournament records.

Chamod Yodhasinghe sprinted to gold in the men’s 100m event with an impressive time of 10.3 seconds, while Shafiya Yamik claimed the women’s 100m title in 11.5 seconds, both setting new championship records. Amasha de Silva added to Sri Lanka’s medal tally by winning silver in the women’s 100m with a time of 11.7 seconds.

In field events, Pasindu Malshan secured another gold for Sri Lanka in the men’s triple jump, rounding off a remarkable day for the island nation’s athletes.
