Sri Lanka Announces Schedule for Remainder of School Term

Sri Lanka School vacation dates term end open time table

Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Education has confirmed that the first phase of the third school term for all government and government-approved private schools will end tomorrow (November 7).

The second phase of the term will resume on different dates based on the medium of instruction:

  • Sinhala and Tamil medium schools will reopen on December 8, 2025.
  • Muslim schools will resume earlier, on November 24, 2025.
