Sri Lanka Announces 2026 National Examination Schedule

Sri Lanka’s Department of Examinations has released the full schedule for major school examinations taking place in 2026.

According to the official timetable, the 2025 GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination will run from 17–26 February 2026.
The 2026 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination is set for 9 August, followed by the 2026 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) Examination, which will be held from 10 August to 5 September.

Students taking the General Information Technology (GIT) Examination for the 2027 A/L cycle will sit for the exam on 24 October 2026.

The 2026 GCE Ordinary Level Examination is scheduled for 8–17 December 2026.
