The Russian Embassy in Sri Lanka has announced that scholarships are now open for Sri Lankan students to study at Russian State universities in the 2025/26 academic year. These scholarships cover bachelor’s, master’s, and postgraduate research programs.

Students interested in applying can find a list of available degree programs and submit applications online through the “Education in Russia” enrollment system at https://education-in-russia.com. The application deadline is December 31.

The selection process will start with the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Colombo reviewing applications. Final approval of candidates will then be made by the Russian Ministry of Science and Education, along with participating universities in Russia.
