COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — Sri Lankan students interested in pursuing higher education in the United States will have the opportunity to meet representatives of U.S. colleges and universities at the EducationUSA University Fair 2026, which will be held in Colombo, Kurunegala and Kandy this week.

The free education fair will provide students and families with information about Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programmes, scholarships, admissions and other opportunities available to international students seeking to study in the United States.

The event is being organised with the participation of EducationUSA, the United States-Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission, American Corner Kandy, USBus-Mobile American Space and the British Council Sri Lanka.

Direct access to U.S. universities

The university fair is designed to give prospective students an opportunity to speak directly with representatives and learn more about studying in the United States.

Students can explore a wide range of higher education opportunities, including undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, while gaining information about admission requirements, scholarships and pathways to U.S. universities.

The organisers are also inviting parents, educators, school administrators, career guidance officers and others interested in international higher education.
