Sri Lanka Postpones National Dhamma School Examinations Due to Severe Weather

Sri Lanka’s Department of Buddhist Affairs has postponed the annual Dhamma School examinations for Grades 6 to 10, citing adverse weather conditions affecting the country.

The exams, originally scheduled for December 14 under the guidance of the All Ceylon Sasanarakshaka Mandalaya, were to be conducted across 3,389 centers nationwide. A total of 690,563 students were expected to sit for the examinations, organized through 329 regional Sasanarakshaka Mandala under the leadership of their Registrar Theros.

The Department of Buddhist Affairs announced that a new examination date will be communicated once conditions improve.
