Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Education has confirmed that the first phase of the third school term for all government and government-approved private schools will end tomorrow (November 7).
The second phase of the term will resume on different dates based on the medium of instruction:
- Sinhala and Tamil medium schools will reopen on December 8, 2025.
- Muslim schools will resume earlier, on November 24, 2025.
