Sri Lanka’s Parliament has approved a new pricing formula for pharmaceutical drugs, aimed at regulating medication costs nationwide.
Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa announced that the new framework will set maximum price limits for each category of drugs to ensure affordability and transparency in the healthcare sector.
He also confirmed that the government’s free emergency response service, Suwaseriya, will continue without any changes to its name or branding.
